Tony has been woodworking for over 30 years in Granville, NY. Eight years ago he discovered a passion for woodturning. He studied under David Ellsworth, a world-class wood turner and that was when Tony decided to devote his time, talent and energy to the art of woodturning. For Tony, the immediacy of forming a beautiful shape and the creativity that springs forth from the lathe is exactly what inspires him to create beautiful yet basic classic forms. He wants the beauty of the natural local New England hardwoods to stand out in his pieces thus he chooses to finish his pieces clean and unadorned to bring out the simplistic beauty.
