Hardwood Creations Hardwood Creations - Artist David Levy grew up in the pine forests of southern New Mexico. Wood was a big part of his life. He started experimenting with tree trunk sections and forming different colored woods into geometric patterns. David uses domestic and exotic hardwoods to create functional pieces with superior construction and artistic design. David combines traditional and modern woodworking techniques including tongue and groove and dovetail joinery. Each piece is finished with a mineral oil or multiple coats of laccer to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. No stains, paints or dyes of any kind are used.
