10 On 9/17/2011 The mug’s actual appearance was even better than it appeared on the website. I consider this item to be a genuine work of art. I use it everyday and have put my other mugs away in the cupboard. I look forward to purchasing more of the same. - David (MONROVIA, California)
10 On 1/2/2011 Bought 2 of these as a gift and they were great! Large mugs, look like the picture, appeared well made. Shipped on time, packed well/safely. Would definitely recommend them!
10 On 5/24/2012 My new oversize handmade stoneware coffee mug, in colonial blue glaze, couldn’t be more perfect. I’m using it right now! Best first: the elegant lip. This cleaver feature is new to me. The lip thins and flares out at the very top. My lips are cradled in its sweet curve, ahhhh--true perfection. It is graceful and lovely--important because I am an artist. Its light weight reflects the potter’s skill and experience. The handle fits like a glove. I’m pleased by the subtly of the glaze. I’d tried over and over to find a beautiful, functional, truly oversize mug. I’ve been disappointed. Even when advertized at holding 18 to 20 ounces, they didn’t. Most topped out at 16 ounces. I sent them back. In addition, those other mugs were clunky and crude. Your wonderful mugs would make great Christmas presents! Thank you so much. - Karen K (Poway, California)
9 On 12/08/2012 Pros - Great Quality, Feels good in your hands. Thumb rest at top of handle is a nice touch. Cons - Ordered a White Glaze, got a Dark Gray mug. Not the same as the picture shown. I have an average (or slightly less than average) hand size for a guy, and I can’t fit all 4 fingers in the handle. - ImplodingSky (New York)
10 On 10/31/2012 It arrived exactly what I was expecting. I would recommend this site to friends and order again myself. (Concord, Ohio)

10 On 3/16/2012 Beautiful! I had to do quite a bit of searching to find quality mugs this size. The proportions are elegant and the smoothly glazed surface is a pleasure to hold. Even with very hot (near boiling) water, the handle remains cool to the touch. The pottery seems to retain warmth longer than the last (cheap) mugs I had. - KCGal (Kansas City, Missouri)
10 On 2/22/2012 The mugs are a really pretty color, and I like the size. However, the two mugs that I ordered of this color each had 16 holes in the bottoms!!! I have been assured by Porter House Crafts that 2 more mugs with solid bottoms will be shipped to me. I’m looking forward to receiving them. - Elizabeth P (Baldwinsville, New York)

10 On 6/21/2011 I’m really fussy about mugs for tea, but I like everything about this one -- the smooth, cool glazed surface, the heft and durability, and especially the combination of handle shape and thumb rest, which makes the mug very comfortable to hold. Also the rim is shaped just right for dribble-free shipping. This is no quick-and-dirty mass-market mug -- it’s definitely the real deal. Also note the mug’s capacity -- 20 ounces, which is a hard size to find in artisanal mugs like this. I like to brew tea inside the mug, and this large capacity lets me brew the equivalent of a small teapot -- and the high-quality ceramic keeps the tea warm. It’s also perfect for a nice, big, comforting mugful of coffee, too. - Paul K (Livermore, California)

10 On 12/30/2010 this mug was a gift for my daughter and she loves it. She especially likes the place where you can put your thumb. Great gift idea for the coffee lover.

10 On 12/31/2009 Rock riffle pottery have really achieved something and their mugs do make your beverage taste better than the mass produced, cookie–cutter, store bought ones.

| 10 On 03/04/2013 This is one of the nicest coffee mugs I have ever purchased in my 60 years. The subtle horizontal striping over the lovely green glaze is so pretty. The size is perfect, not too small, not too huge. It is smooth and seamless. I highly recommend this as a gift or for yourself. - PATRICIA (SANTA BARBARA, California)
