The imagery in Bella Luz designs with Light can be seen as whimsical little snippets of magical dream-like stories. The inspiration for Bella Luz stems from artist Juline El-Hai’s love of color and light, and her background in glass painting. The luminettes are Juline’s version of nightlights. They start out as drawings using colored pencil, pastels, watercolors, and crayons. The drawings are then photographed and transformed into color transparencies, which are then set into handsome metal frames. These luminettes are tiny works of art, which cast a warm and useful glow.
